Does anyone else have an issue with the pun stop spam feature of the forum here? Sometimes I have to type in 6 or more answers, often the same questions repeatedly before a post will go through.

i haven't had to ever enter in the code... this spam thing is inconvenient for everyone unfortunately. Connie has been stellar in banning them, i almost f-d up the forum trying to clean them out and now this. The problem is that they don't stop trying to spam, and we can't ignore them. I wish there was a better way.
Rob, when I had to re-type the numbers, it was mostly my fault, typing errors.
Funny enough, I have to enter these small calculations only in the moderator-board ;=) There they don't trust me.
But which browser are you using? Maybe a special plugin is responsible for that or some settings? I have the experience that when I calculate correctly and type in the result correctly, the plugin accepts and let me post

Yes, I also have this problem sometimes. It seems to help to wait for some seconds to submit the second answer - or it's just chance ;-)
It happens when I am using Firefox 3.6.18 set to accept no foreign cookies, and I clear all cookies after every session.
I was just wondering if it was just me and my configuration or if others had the same issue....

I have the same issue on Chromium browser. Sometimes it is indead around six times I have to enter. Often the questions are the same, so they are allready in my browsing history. Is it not better to use a longer list of questions?
I don't mind it so much, since I only have to do it in the first post of a session.
I just wonder if am asked to calculate '1+2+1', is '4' or 'four' the correct string to type?
1) check it out ;=)
2) 1+2+1' = 4
3) one + two + one = four

This happens to me constantly, especially on my ipad which is 10 times more the pita to enter this.
And i usually have to type in all 3 human confirmations in a row.

This is not an acceptable spam filter. Just an annoyance, its is reputation based at least?
Think I had this behaviour once, it was indeed annoying. Interestingly enough, I almost always have to deal with the anti-spam stuff when posting to the private team forum, haha.
If the problem is indeed still there, maybe someone can test the fix I mentioned above...

And whats with the 30 second search limiter even for registered members ?
And the 60 seconds spam-reporting limit?
Since forum is flooded with spam lately, it's about time to something about it.

Forum's stopspam questions should be also changed - 3 same questions for almost 2 yrs are too easy to break.
Btw. a question loop where I have to enter 6 or even 8 times antispam answers occure on firefox. There's no such problem on chrome and afair opera.
Last thing: for long time users (by date or amount of posts) antispam and time restriction could be disabled. Of course if punbb allows such customizing.
