Topic: Migrating to another server

Hi,

I just migrated my demo site from a localhost (where it was running on WAMP). I followed the migrating tips from wiki and most of it works nicely :)

The problem i noticed is that the HTML editor isn't showing up at all. If i change the settings to not show the editor the page edit works.

Any ideas? :)

Enable debug mod in gsconfig file, and see if ckeditor doesn't have any missing files (probably translation file if you changed it in gsconfig).
Try to reupload all ckeditor files again.

Re: Migrating to another server

John,

a missing editor very often signifies that some part of the options is not available, for example a skin or an extra-plugin which might have been defined in the gsconfig.php or in the custom config-file of the editor and which is missing after the migration to other host or server

Thanks for the tips. I was having the same problem as the Op. Your last tip of 're-uploading' all the files again fixed the issue. Did not realize it would be soo easy! :D
