Topic: Your web hosting provider?

I apologize for the possible off-topic. Guys, could you tell me which web hosting company you are using at the moment? I have a problem because my current web hosting company hostrator.com is kicking me off. They say that our website is using too many server resources. But our website only gets 300 visitors per day..

Anyway, what would be your recommendations? Are you happy with your web hosting providers?

I am checking http://www.hosting24.com/ at the moment, but is it real that they can provide unlimited disk space?
I have contacted them and they say something like

Re: Your web hosting provider?

I currently use Godaddy, they are very good with customer support and have many features.

I am in the process as I type this of becoming a reseller for a hosting company by the name of FatCow
they are 100% powered by Wind Generators. and have 99.9% up-time.

Details:

  • Disk Space: Unlimited

  • Bandwidth: Unlimited

  • Pop Mailboxes: Unlimited

  • FTP Users & SubUsers Unlimited

  • 24x7 Support

  • $66.00 per year

  • Online Store Building Tool, Load-Balanced Architecture, Support, CGI, PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, MySQL.

I would be glad to answer any questions you may have. It really surprised me at the cost!

QIQ.co.uk

Been using them for a few years now... No problems with them what so ever, great after sales support, and fairly cheap here in the UK

Re: Your web hosting provider?

Re: Your web hosting provider?

site5 have given me really good service since I joined in 2006 - only have good things to say about them.  Last year my friend got the same story from hostagator. BTW site5 is at the same DC as hostgator - 'Planet' who also uses wind generated power.

Re: Your web hosting provider?

I use StoresOnlinePro for my eCommerce sites, but I am using HostGator for my new blog sites and they work very well.  I chose HostGator because my goal is to build numerous blog sites and they offer unlimited site hosting for a very low price.

I restrain from using hosting providers with "unlimited" packets, as such offers are the worst under the sun.
I however recommend looking firstly in which DC are located provider's machines, as the best ISPs I ever tried out had their machines ocated in german's datacenters. They tend to have very low prices as well.

From the other hand I see that low prices have the highest priority, and both hosts with lowest and highest prices tend to offer the lowest quality of hosting services.

Always look for offers having average prices on the market, and look for opinions about support <- this is one of top 3 factors when choosing a hosting provider.

Re: Your web hosting provider?

Checked them; some of my clients had an account there.
10$ for this type of service is too much.
And my nerves are priceless since that time ;]

Re: Your web hosting provider?

If you are looking for a german provider, check the WIKI before: http://get-simple.info/wiki/installatio … webhosters

as allinkl.com and 1&1 need some fiddling before bringing GS to run smoothly more or less.

I reckommend http://www.knu-systems.de, the best hoster I ever had (after OLM Networks in prehistorical times, Siteground, Eleven2, Strato etc.), and the offers for private clients are really good. The best support I ever got, that's why I rent my own server there (not a virtual one)

hehe, most of good webshoting companies collocate their machines in hetzner's DC.
That's why their services are on top level ;)

Re: Your web hosting provider?

Used to have 000webhost before my account got disabled. Now I currently use Webbeo. Seems to be treating me well so far, with more available than 000webhost was providing me with.

Same Here. I have been with them for years. I have 2 dedicated servers and they are awesome.

Re: Your web hosting provider?

I've used many over the years, since clients tend to want to stick with what they have.... I know this is a little late, but InMotion Hosting is by far the best I've ever used. Support 24/7 by phone, email or online chat - and they've always picked up the phone or live chat - even at 3, 4 AM.

Control panel is cPanel, GetSimple installs in a few minutes - NO ISSUES EVER on install. They do shared hosting as well as VPS systems... you even have the option to get root access to your server, no extra charges. Pricing is great, and they have an affiliate program that actually pays. Too many other options to list here... everything is top notch - 10 out of 10.

Re: Your web hosting provider?

I use GoDaddy.com. They have good technical service/support. And also, I am not sure about this but I think they are pretty cheap compared to hostgator. They have a very good website design and their interface is easy to use especially for those who are still starting to use godaddy as a hosting provider.
