A hosting company dropped files for a site I have.

After asking the hosting company why my site was down.
The hosting company sent me this....

Haven't touched the site in a while. ?????????
I needed to upgrade to 2.03 so thought I would (simply) just try an install.
Now I get...

Installation page

Fill in email address etc and then. Then I get...

GetSimple Version 2.03 - Latest version installed
PHP Version 5.3.1 - OK
Folder Permissions OK - Writable
cURL Module Installed - OK
GD Library Installed - OK
SimpleXML Module Installed - OK
Default Timezone Function Installed - OK
Apache Mod Rewrite Installed - OK

Not sure your question, are you receiving any errors when attempting to re-install?

Looks like some of the original post is missing.

No there are/were no error messages. Just a loop from one set up page to another.


Right now the hosting company has said

Seems like there is an issue with the forums.
Most of the first post is missing and now the second post is missing

Am using Firefox on Linux Mint.

Did a preview of the post before clicking on submit.
Now there are only three lines of the post.

It seems it cuts it at straight quotes (") and only when you have to enter the captcha question. Was this true for your posts as well? If so, we’re getting closer to the problem.

Yep the posts get cut off at quotation marks and the preview looked fine.

The cut happened on submission.

Hope that helps.

Off topic, the same problem happen to me once or twice but I could edit the topic and past the rest of my text, as I usually copy the all text before submission editing is easier. Well, just to mention that posting causes the problem but editing doesn't, that's why I didn't gave it much thought.

I believe the same happened to me, and it was definitely when I was prompted with the pun stops bots question.

hmm... just edit the css and add a padding for the red label, or convert it's type to a block (eventually add another class for this special element, otherwise all labels will get the same padding)

Check the captcha plugin. It seems to me that one is the troublesome one.
