I have noticed that in release 3.3.16 within the file uploads section that I no longer require flash within the browser.

I've turned off flash support in the browser and noticed that the file uploader still works fine in 3.3.16 but in earlier versions the file upload is not responsive.

Can I assume then that the file upload is now flash free then?

only in 3.4 has it been removed

We just disabled it for security, it has exploits I think

Thanks Shawn, So I take it then the file loader does not utilise flash then is that what you're saying?

You can still activate it, it just changed to not on by default I think... I forget

3.4 is setup to use dropzone js uploader, uploadify was removed entirely.
Dropzone is nice, its also portable so it can be modified and used in forms pretty easily

I really need to get work moving on 3.4 its got so much stuff

Thanks Shawn. We all appreciate the work you put in. Are you hoping to release 3.4 in 2020 or will it be later? I'll need to download a copy and have another look.

lol, right, I mean the beta has been out there for a while now, I guess we need to push it more.

How do i update? Download the file and do i need to do any settings on the server or files?
