Hello!

First: apologize for my bad English, i'm from the Netherlands :-)

When I put the files via FTP on the server and give CHMOD 777 to install.php, /date/ and /backups/ it does not work. I see this error:
Unable to continue: Unable to write config file. CHMOD 777 on the folders /data/ and /backups/ and retry

What is the problem?

I have seen where no matter what, certain hosts will not allow the writing of files. I am not sure what can be done about it... it almost always happens on shared accounts

I use my own site http://kherokhata.com but the problem persists.

i've CHMOD 777 to so many files and folders .but the problem persists.

shuvro - i think that even though your folders are 0777, the files being created must not be inheriting that permission. What are the server specs?
