you can achieve what you're looking for with two plugins: I18N Custom Fields and I18N's navigation. This post for I18N which quickly explains how to set up external links mentions I18N 1.2 at the top, recent versions are in the 1.7 range though. It's better to use the most recent one.
Since Carlos pointed out a much simpler way below: if you only use GetSimple's native navigation anyway, his hint is way better of course.
