Hi Andrew,
have your tried the instructions on the wiki: http://get-simple.info/wiki/installation:migrating
or did you just FTP the files up to the new site.
More than likely its a permissions problem.
Try the Wiki transfer solution and see if that works for you.
Mike.

I've updated the wiki - http://get-simple.info/wiki/installation:local_server (last block)
This may help making clear that moving it isn't just uploading all files.
(My English is far from perfect, please review and edit anything that sounds strange...)

similar problem here, I guess it's because of the server configuration (shared hosting).
I try to edit pages, etc, in the backend but does not work.
also tried to make a fresh installation, but I get the folder permissions problem, even if the requested folders are writable.
(another point: if I try to manually edit file permissions to 777, for example on a xml page, it reverts those permissions to 666. is it a normal behaviour?)
cUrl and ZipArchive are not installed, but I think it's not related..

I remember Yojoe being unhappy with WIN OS Server lately ;=)
I would suggest a linux server (they are mostly even cheaper ...)

y.. I think I've solved the permissions problem from the hosting panel. now I'm managing to solve some plugin problems but the normal administration seems "ok"
