I have written an add-on to I18N Search, which searches your pages for links to documents and then converts those documents to text and puts them into the search index of I18N Search.
Thus a search for a word will also display all documents that contain this word in the content.
Due to time or memory constraints in your web server configuration the indexing may abort with an error, if many or large documents are available. But as GetSimple is for small sites, this should not be a problem.
