Thank you for this great cms. Its simpleness is a gain.

I want to display elements in my theme depending on the Log-in-status. For example, if the admin is logged in, I want to say at the frontend: "Hello admin, ... ".

Is this possible, and - please excuse my nescience - can someone explane, how this can be done.

This had been requested before, however with the login session only existing within the /admin/ directory it can’t currently be checked outside of that folder. It might be a template function that will be implemented on a later version though.
