I got a new old laptop off ebay. It runs windows Vista and I have wasted too much time already trying to get wampserver to work on it. I like the laptop and I have already reinstalled windows so I want to keep it as it is but I need to get a server environment running for GS work.

Anybody have a recommendation of an alternative to wampserver for Vista?

Take a look at the USB-Webserver. GS works fine with it. I made for some Friends of mine a complete GetSimplePortable with it to test GS.

Here is the link:

USB-Webserver

GetSimple works with all versions, include the old ones.
