Strange no?
Where are you inserting them? In the page editor? If so, it's not possible to have php code there (by default)
Hi,

It is in the page editor, thank you.

I am used to using SSI includes and thought it "simple" to use PHP includes instead, however were it not for issues around entities and silly HTML formatting I'd not even think about it.
do you want to have PHP executed or do you want to documentate the code in a page?

If you want to have PHP-Code as text in a page, you can use syntaxhighligting, see here:

Nice but I'm wanting to execute PHP statements from inside pages but only due to the fact of having problems with the editor itself.

Thanks
Recommended plugin for inserting php code in pages, using components: DynPages

Now I don't have to eat tag soup or have a dog's breakfast Wink
