Hmm.. yes - what's keeping this Linux/Unix only? Aren't the requirements Apache and PHP, which both will run on Windows hosts. (er... well, "some" Windows hosts)

ok i got it to work on a server/host that is running windows and IIS but i had to delete the .htaccess file in the root dir of getsimple. If i didnt, my server gave me an error from IISpassword that the webpage can not be viewed. Is that .htaccess file necessary for something important like security? what would you advise?

the root .htaccess file was only for url rewrites. any installation should work fine without that file...
