Add Page to Menue - Connie - 2011-04-02
is there a configuration to set the option "add to menue" in the page-options to "set"?
I think most users write pages to have them in the menue and only few pages which will not be placed in the menue
so I notice that very often this option is forgotten and the surprise is there: "where is my page"?
Did I miss it or is this is feature request?

No, there is no such feature. And from my experience for users it's better to find out they forgot to put the page into the menu than to have an unfinished page by accident in the menu at a prominent position (namely in the first position).
But GetSimple is easily extendable, so I attached a plugin (rename to .php) to add new pages to the menu by default.

as long as I am the contributor at the system, it is good to have.
For clients who want to edit their own content you can discuss with them whether they want to have this integrated or not.

I wasn't even aware any more that I had written this "plugin" ;-)
I'm now using the navigation view of the (latest) I18N plugin to add/remove pages to/from the menu and change the menu texts and order them and set them to private and ... ;-)
