Greek Characters - JoeyDown - 2012-02-10

Hello,

So I was working on a site for a greek client and I found out that with the HTML editor if I type a greek character like "ε" it will save it as "&epsilon", but when the HTML editor is disabled It will save it as "ε".
Why that happens? Could you fix it in a future release?

you can customize the editor yourself, no change in the next version needed ;=)

Thanks, but still in the .xml files and in the source code it saves it as "&epsilon". I ant to save it like normal greek characters.

Well, I can't find anything.

But why not encoding in UTF-8 from the beggining?
Using any other encoding is a really bad idea, isn't it?

But hey, that should be in the core. Not all of us use only english characters and that's a big issue with simple solution.

check the beta version GS 3.1 if the problem still occurs and report that in that case, please

It does occur.

Letters should appear normally in the .xml files, instead they doesn't.

Here's some greek characters if you want to test it your self: "ασδφσδγσεδσεδγσδγφδ".
