Images- Access Denied - robblack - 2012-03-27

I just installed GS3.1 and having a terrible time -- one of the images are accessible in the page editor, and when I put in the HTML code directing them, on the pages, nothing shows. Checking further, there is he message, "You do not have permission to access the requested file".

I used the .htaccess files that come with the package, unchanged.

I installed GS3.1 in a subdirectory of my domain.

HELP!

Solved it. When I uploaded the images, they were set at ReadWrite only for "user" Code 600. They need to be "Read" for everyone (code 444).
Whew!
(Solved this by using GS files to upload, then checked permissions).

Rob,

to check problems like this, there is a server health check .. you can find out about wrong permissions etc. in the support section

good that you found the reason

Cheers, Connie
