.htaccess file - rfuller - 2012-07-07 I noticed when uploading GetSimple to a Subdomain that it asks if I would like to over write the .htaccess file. Question is: Does this over write the .htaccess file in the main domain? If not why would it ask if I want to over write since it is a new subdomain with no files in i? Bob .htaccess file - Connie - 2012-07-07 Bob, this is a question which I would ask your hoster's support as I do not know how the subdomain is configured maybe an empty .htaccess is created when you define a subdomain in your administration panel? That's what I guess but to be sure: why not save the .htaccess of your root before you install and compare after installation? THat will be the safest way and it does cost only 4 minutes ;=) Cheers, Connie .htaccess file - rfuller - 2012-07-10 Thanks Connie, you were correct there is a blank file created when a subdomain is made.
