in Mozilla, opera and IE7 thumbnail creation "ctrl-B or command-B for square" does not work. screen jerks.

It works for me in Firefox, but my bookmarks panel gets opened and closed.
This was changed for GS 3.0: http://get-simple.info/forums/showthread.php?tid=1108
Until GS 2.03 it was Ctrl-Q.

shift is the standard ratio modifier for image programs.
