animated gif and deep link - Kyta - 2014-02-02 Hello I am a bit new to GetSimple. And there are 2 things I cannot find the anwer to in the wiki and manual. I hope you can help me out! I want to get an animated gif in my website (a banner I put into the text-area), but the animation does not work... The gif is there, but it only shows the first part and does not show the second image that is included. The banner is a link to a registration webpage for a exhibition. I want to get the link opened in my own website. I know how to do this in Frontpage (open in main frame), but with GetSimple 'target' ',<frame> does not work like I want it either. (I believe this is called a deep link?) Thank you for replies. RE: animated gif and deep link - datiswous - 2014-02-04 Have you tried using another theme and test if the gif animation works? RE: animated gif and deep link - shawn_a - 2014-02-04 neither of these have anything to do with GS specifically, just basic html. if you access the gif directly does it work ? Your host might not send the proper mime headers for animated gifs For linking you are looking for "html anchor targets" RE: animated gif and deep link - Kyta - 2014-04-18 (2014-02-04, 08:18:04)shawn_a Wrote: neither of these have anything to do with GS specifically, just basic html. Thanks. I have managed to get the anchors working Still, the animated gif remains unsolved... I have no idea why it isn't working (but that is probably my lack of knowledge...) |
