Debug location - dumb question of the day - snooze - 2014-05-17

I found information about debug mode in the wiki, but I can't find anything on where the files are written. Are that written as the problem is repro-ed or after the mode is switched off?

data other logs error.txt always
gsconfig.php debug mode option, outputs to screen.
