http://www.havoc-dlrp.info/gallerys

You can make the thumbs bigger by modifying line 290 in squareit-gallery.php

change: &x=65&f=1

to the new size you want: &x=90&y=50&f=1

After this be sure to delete all the previously generate thumbs in the "thumbs" folder.

I will hope to make this a configurable option in a later version.

GSgallery 2.0 - Simple Image Gallery Plugin (Square It) - juliancc - 2010-07-22

Just uploaded a new version of GSgallery - v2.5 BETA

I'm considering this a major version.

Here is the brief change-log:

v 2.5 - Beta - Released 07/21/2010
- Added squareit_gallery() function that can called to display a gallery in a component of template
- Initial structure for plugin system within SIG
- Now using FancyBox for the default plugin to display the image gallery
- jQuery is now included from google's CDN
- Additional settings added to the settings screen

I will try to post more about the changes later on or tomorrow.

Enjoy. and ask questions if any

I am very new to this, however I've got the beta release to run but I do not see the CSS or the FancyBox display on my gallery. It is just plain links to the images. Any suggestion?

If you can please provide more info related to your problem. (screenshots, link to website, error message) as it is hard to debug your problem without any clear info.

Also, I just uploaded a new Beta of version 2.5 (Beta 2)
Download that version and see if your problems are gone.

thanks

I've downloaded and installed the new beta 2 version but that did not fix it. I am running php version 5.1.6. I chmoded files in the plugin folder to 755. I am getting the following notices and warnings on every page and below is a screenshot of what I am seeing:

GSgallery 2.0 - Simple Image Gallery Plugin (Square It) - zelda - 2010-10-01

Hi, I installed gsgallery_v2_5_beta2, but when I try to click the tab "Image gallery" to create a gallery gives me a page "500 Internal Server Error".

I have debugging on, but there I get no errors.

I'm using GetSimple_2.01 on a space with Linux and all permissions are set to 755.

Can someone help me understand the reason for this strange behavior?
I urgently need to have a gallery on GetSimple.

Sorry for my English...

GSgallery 2.0 - Simple Image Gallery Plugin (Square It) - zelda - 2010-10-01

I also tried to remove Fancy URLs, and uninstall the plugin nSys News and also to install an old version of gsgallery, But I always have the same problem.

GSgallery 2.0 - Simple Image Gallery Plugin (Square It) - Zegnåt - 2010-10-01

“500 Internal Server Error” is a .htaccess error. Please check the .htaccess files that came with the plugin. If you have access to the Apache error log that might help to find where it’s going wrong.

Debug mode doesn’t help because it’s a server (Apache) error and not a PHP error.

GSgallery 2.0 - Simple Image Gallery Plugin (Square It) - zelda - 2010-10-01

Zegnåt thanks for your quick response, I'd also suspect a problem with .htaccess...

I did some tests, but still not resolved.
I also checked the Apache error log, but he does not report errors.

Could it be that the problem is getsimple in a subdirectory?

my site is located at http://www.mysite.it/site/

GSgallery 2.0 - Simple Image Gallery Plugin (Square It) - zelda - 2010-10-01

ok, this my Apache error log:

julian cc, iwant to ask, whether gsgallaery have limitations in making the gallery? because I've made 14 gallery but when making the gallery to 15 declared a success but the code that used to be attached to the template does not appear, what is wrong?

There are no limitations in place. But the reality is that I have never done a stress test or put in more than 5 galleries. Do you have debug on, is it throwing any errors?

I will be testing this myself, but if you have any additional info that can help me find the problem faster, it would help.

Thanks.

SIDE NOTE:
I will be releasing a more stable version of the plugin in the next couple of days.
I was out of town for 2 weeks, and I havent had the time to put the finishing touches in the plugin.

Yes. the problem seems to be with the template you are using. It's including a fancy box twice.
Once in the template, and then the plugin includes it again.

Hi,
I fell into the same problem of intan in my GetSimple 2.03 and Simple Image Gallery 2.5, that have successfully created the 15th but the gallery management panel shows only 14.
To edit the 15th I have to give xml gallery URL like

GSgallery 2.0 - Simple Image Gallery Plugin (Square It) - phil - 2010-12-12

Hello juliancc,

using your plugin (2.5) with GetSimple 2.03. Works nice so far. I was wondering if you could give me advice on the following two issues:

1. I would like the plugin to show only the three first thumbnails of the gallery embedded in the site. When clicking on it, it should of course go through the whole set of pictures in the gallery. Is that possible? I find it not nice having all thumbnails of large galleries embedded in the text of a page. Like this, there's too large a gap in the text which decreases the reading experience.

2. When there's more than one gallery on a page, the fancybox slideshow extends over all the galleries. I find this not very logical (minor issue, thogh), is there a way to prevent tis?

Issue 1 is a real problem for my site, I'm looking forward to reading your opinion on this. Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Phil
