a little trip - dreamnop - 2010-07-21 (my English is bad) i can find a little trip useful for many People you can config GetSimple on your localhost and different ip or any host. you can use one GetSimple unzip GeSimple and rename for use exsample. GetSimple ---> myweb and install wizard. ----> to finish. Now you can. change http://localhost/myweb http://localhost/myweb/admin -------> Setting Quote:Website Base URL:you can change to: Quote:/myweb/ and save it. you can copy and paste (or backup to Another) use another Host or any IP Now! you can run website is etc. Quote:http://192.168.1.1/myweb ( My Testing is Work on Any IP and Any Hosting) I hope that it would be useful for some people. Everything you say is quite ok, but if somebody will upload whole content to a nested directory (not root). chaning base url won't do the work. Some paths will have to be changed inside files. |
