PROBLEM I1NN Gallery - random image display on server

I have loaded the I1NN Gallery plugin V2.1.1 and added it to my Getsimple 3.3.4.
I have selected prettyPhoto and checked the box for Do not use jQuery.
Loaded a bunch of images and it works beautifully on my local development server (Server2go Windows 8).
HOWEVER on my hosting provider's server the images are displayed in very strange way - the thumbnails are displayed / not displayed in a somewhat random fashion. Each time I reload the page it seem to be different thumbnails
that are missing.

I have ftp'ed the entire local file structure to the server just to make sure everything was included.
