I learned that it could be no good to show the version of the CMS (or other software) as it could open a door ;=)

Is there another tag which does not show the version?

For sure I can write the text into the footer manually "Powered by GetSimple" but I want to do it standardcompliant as possible.

just write the code in your template: <a href="http://get-simple.info/">Powered by GetSimple</a>

FYI: in 3.0 get_site_credits() does not show the version number

Chris, yes, that's what I did

I am waiting for version 3.0, when I will find time, I will test it
in the moment I am just testing all plugins and possibilities of the given version
