Just something which slows me down considerably when I'm putting content on a page, I wish I could just upload the image directly from the 'create page' form as opposed to having to do a file upload (from the file upload page ) everytime.
Is this is actually possible and/or has been addressed in the past, sorry to bug.

Implement uploading by drag-and-drop while you're at it

Aha I see
http://kcfinder.sunhater.com/
Quote: Ajax engine with JSON responses
Multiple files upload (does not work in IE!)
Upload files using HTML5 drag and drop (for Firefox and Chrome only!)
Download multiple files or a folder as single ZIP file
Select multiple files with the Ctrl/Command key
Clipboard for copying, moving and downloading multiple files
Easy to integrate and configure in web applications
Option to select and return several files. For custom applications only
Resize uploaded images. Configurable maximum image resolution
Configurable thumbnail resolution
Visual CSS themes
Multilanguage system
Slideshow using arrow keys
Sounds cool!

I just want to add that while the KCfinder-plugin is great, it doesn't solve this topic (although I'm skeptical about if this is what makes things easier).

I have done some work on this, reading the upload tab to images in the editor. When we get moved to github and we can manage branches and add experimental features it will be easier to get thisnstuff out to you.

I know IOS just got uploads I think , I am unsure how they work, hopefully automatically.
Someone could make an app and plugin if they were so inclined.
