the url only changes when you use fancy urls.

The default url rewrite looks like this for a page with a parent looks like this:

Yes, and after testing it looks in facts as

Code:

domain.com/parent-slug/current-page-slug
domain.com/current-page-slug

i.e. both URLs may be used to access a page with a parent.

Is there any way to have to different pages with URLs like

Code:

friends.com/daisy and
friends.com/flowers/daisy

?
At the moment you can have only

Code:

friends.com/daisy and
friends.com/flowers/daisyflower

and if flower is a parent of daisyflower search engine indexes in fact 3 pages with 2 different contents:
1.friends.com/daisyflower
1.friends.com/flowers/daisyflower
2.friends.com/daisy
