How to make menu button launch a URL

I've been trying to figure out how to make a menu item launch a new page that points to a forum installed in a sub directory. I've tried putting html code in the page text, but I couldn't get it to work.

I learned how to do it on the text area on the right, but not with a menu. Would someone mind letting me in on the secrete (smile)?
