Try something like this:

$a = 1;
$b = 2;
$c = 3;

if ($a == 1) {
if ($b == 2) {
code to be executed
}
if ($c == ($a + $b)) {
code to be executed
}
}

That only works if things are true.
If something is not true and you need out put for it, then add an else clause.
IE:

if ($b == 2) {
code to be executed
} else {
code to be executed if $b != 2 // != means "does not equal"
}
