Is PHP enabled? You can have the latest version of PHP on the server, but if PHP has not been enabled that doesn’t help.
The way the file is shown points to the server not running PHP at all. It comes to the PHP file and doesn’t parse it, instead the server assumes it’s plain text and sends it to the browser that way. Have you had any luck running other PHP applications?
