I have a page on one of my sites that links to varius hosting provides. Everything is fine, except <a href="http://secure.hostgator.com/~affiliat/cgi-bin/affiliates/clickthru.cgi?id=(myaffiliateid)" target="_blank">Visit</a>
shows up blank??

Would the whole page be more useful? No ideas? I'm using boostrap3 teme.

Take a look at the source html code of the page (public site) to check if the <a href...> tag and link have been rendered as you inserted them.

IDK but is it possible that you are barred/blacklisted from clicking on your own affiliate links?
