How to use the GetSimple Blog plugin?
#1
Hello, I want to start a Photoblog using the GetSimple Blog plugin. I've downloaded John Strays Blog plugin and activated it in the backend. No problem with this. In the blog-tab there is a "help" section with the PHP-Tags for the frontend but no explanation how to use it. I tried to replace my content with the specific tags to make it work (the same way I would do it using the "normal" GetSimple CMS) but it doesn't work.

Is there a link with a tutorial for this or is anyone here with the experience using this blog plugin?
I'm thankful for your help!

I think that this plugin won't have much support in the near future as author is working on its replacement, just check this link http://www.johnstray.id.au/get-simple/plugin/

That makes no sense ... he updated the plugin on March 26, 2016 ... Do I really have to use WordPress now? I don't want to use WP, I like GetSimple ...

Yeah I don't think he doesn't give support at all, just that his focus is more on the new version. But if you ask in the support topic he might help you and otherwise maybe someone else will.

Otherwise there's also Newsmanager or I18N search + I18N Special pages (which can be used to make a blog). See here:

Regardless, use the plugins support thread for support if it has one, do not expect to get more attention by creating new frivolous threads as directed in the sticky thread at the top of the plugins section.
