Save as. Could there be a difference in permissions?

Ps. renaming .jpg -> .doc, it will upload as .jpg, not as .doc. Curious.

A client ran into this issue recently, after trying several browsers, different machines, I believe it was due to a corruption of the file.
I opened it in Photoshop, saved it out again, and there was no problem.

Shouldnt be a permissions problem.

Saving as web will give you a smaller file size than a normal save as.

Not sure if this help, but it worked for me.

Photoshop introduced the export as main saving method. Now the images are uploading fine. Only one problems persists. When in /admin/ and Files section / Responsive filemanager there is only black thumbnails. No images or thumbs for folders. When in news manager and uploading files from there, it shows thumbnails as it should be.

We got the same problem.
  • We can't upload files with the extension ".jpg"
  • We try W10 with Firefox and Chrome, W11 with the differnt Browsers and also Linux with Firefox (V91.2)
  • The Files on my Linux PC was never in touch with Photoshop  (perhaps resized with Gwenview or GIMP)
  • Filemanager window shows processing forever with no reaction
  • I renamed a file by removing the file extension ."jpg" (image.jpg -> imgage) and the upload of this file works fine, on the  server the file extension ".jpg" is there again.
Is there an bug tracking on SVN like Gthub or other SVN hubs for this software?

Best regards
Thomas

Hi Thomas,

the "fix" was to export images from photoshop (or whatever software) again. Not save, EXPORT. After that I CAN upload jpgConfused again. Or you could just take a screenshot of picture you want to upload and then upload the screenshot.

Hope this helps. Smile

It looks to have many many problems on all versions of 8.x
The project seems to have been abandoned by the author.
I will try to take a look when I can, to see if I can do anything about it.
There seems to be a chain of problems. Fixing one issue reveals another.
I dont think this is so much of a gs plugin problem. It is the script that is being used, which has also been abandoned.
