getsimple 3.3.13 install Unable to continue

- permissions directories and files are 755 and 644. I have also tried putting data and backup in 777.
- the user who owns the files is the same as the ftp: lupon
- is a own server where I have several webs in production. I use apache 2.4 and php 7.0

I get the same error: Unable to continue: Unable to write the configuration file. CHMOD 755 or 777 the /data, /backups folders & sub-folders and retry.

Can you check to see if the file is actually being created?

I do not understand anything.
gsconfig.php is not being created.
The php logs do not show any errors.

Could it be that the user that is running the webserver does not have write permissions?
