Dumped Files in FTP and Error?

I copied all the files over to my FTP and I get the error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '&', expecting T_VARIABLE or '$' in /homepages/5/d337977898/htdocs/test/admin/inc/common.php on line 17

I have deleted the directory and recopied the files several times but this error keeps coming.

What to do?

Nevermind. I dug a little deeper and I had received this FTP host from a client and I had to call the hosting support to upgrade the PHP running on the server to the latest version. I had done a check on the the version and it was currently 4.4.9.. Yikes.

This usually occurs when your running php v4, check your host and ensure you have at least 5.2
