Hi,
I just wanted to say hello. This is my first day trying out GetSimple, and I'm very impressed!

I use Wordpress and MODx for my work, but now and then I think about times when something much smaller would do. I've tried quite a few CMS systems, as it's fun to shop now and then. GetSimple seems to have the right blend of leanness, yet quite a few features. Some systems are even smaller, and pretty easy to use, but in my travels a client will tend to want something that cries out for a plug-in, and I see that there are lots of them if needed.

As a CSS person, I can see that this should be a cakewalk for me to style!

I just discovered this CMS and may be interested in trying it out for a client's site intially - he's a small business person who only needs a small content site, not an ongoing blog.

A bit of a concern that the largest section of this forum appears to be the general problems section, but perhaps this is normal. Good to see an active forum, however, and that there are people such as yourselves willing to assist others.

This is normal with all programs. People only come when they have questions or configuration trouble, I know this since my first forum sysop jobs in the 90s

and most of the probs are because of unknown server configuration etc., world is technical today ...

There are only few who come and say "it is great, I have no probs" ;=)


I am glad that you like GS and hope you will ask your questions here when they arrive, there is always support available here

agreed - we definitely don't see enough of these. However, the couple we do see are great!
