PROBLEM Keep relative paths working

Hi,
Thanks for making this great cms.
I need help with urls of my pictures that I import via the ckeditor. When I upload my website from local to online they are all broken. I know I can do search and replace the relative paths with absolute paths. Does there exist a better way of keeping the relative url paths working ?
