CE repo plugin request
#1
Exclamation
Hello,
As you well know, we have been working with @islander on the development of the CE version for some time. However, many plugins need improvement, and developers have long since stopped being interested in them. If you need a plugin for the CE version and it is not in the CE repo, please leave a note in this thread.

Hi
Those plugins will be very welcome:
1. A decent Catalog plugin ( complete one - with multi-level categories & cutsom fields: photo/s + links and so on ... )
2. Image-browser for MCE ( similar to Responsive FileManager that is abandoned )
3. something like the ItemManager 2ItemManager 2.0 ) I didn't test it yet with php 8+

1 & 3 sound like they are in the same vain. This would be quite an on-taking at the moment, and I know Mulit doesnt have the time for a project of this magnitude at the moment, but it will be noted.

Although it is not multi-level, but possibly with some messing with could be, quite a bit can be achieved with MultiBlock. cutsom fields photos, links, tags, etc.

2 Using Massive admin takes care of most of those features now. You can also borrow the css from the Island theme to color code folders and file types.

10X, but Tha't not what I meant. I did this about 10 years ago with GS.
A REAL CATALOG (out of the box) will be a blessing .. I myself don't need it - when I needed one I did it with I18N Special Pages or ItemManager 2.0 ... but it's not the same as an out-of-the box one.

No - far from the same functionality
I mean, Massive Admin is really nice, but it's not dedicated to managing the uploads section directly from the page-edit of simply MCE .

???? Why would I do that ?

By the way - the FAQ plugin works well with php 8.1 +
Plugin - FAQ | GetSimple Extend (get-simple.info)
and can be added to the CE repository ...

If you havent joined already, you might want to check into our Discord Channel

PS. I am revisiting Responsive FileManager, to see if it can be revived. Not really sure yet though.

I'll check the discord tomorrow probably, it's getting late here (Israel) and I'm not focused anymore ..

Meanwhile I also checked the links manager and it also works with php8.1 +  ( the icon/image manager needs some tweaking - i'll see what I can do there ..)
Plugin - Links Manager | GetSimple Extend (get-simple.info)

About Responsive FileManager - that's really good news .

UPDATE: I was actually able to get it working. However, the Massive Admin plugin messes with the editor which causes it to not render properly (it fall of the edges a bit and isn't centered). Disabling Massive Admin fixed the problem. I would like to have both (Custom CSS in the editor AND Massive Admin), but for now it works well enough. Smile

I would love to see the CSS CKEditor plugin working on the CE version. Having the same frontend styling while editing a page makes all the difference!

Post what you did to get it working, and I can see what we can do to get it to play nicely with CE.

I disabled the Massive Admin plugin. I had some div containers that had a negative margin and the texteditor did not play nice with those. It also seemed like DIV's always had a border that could not be turned of when editing in Massive Admin. See examples: one with and one without Massive Admin. The first one butchers the layout and the second one leaves things as they were (btw, I know one is wider than the other, but even is the window is less wide in the 'normal' editor, it keeps the fluid layout intact).

Did you modify the plugin to get it working? That is what I was asking.
If so, maybe you could post what you did, so we can get it working with MA

ok, more important. What theme you use? Maybe add on editor.css (included on theme folder) body{margin:0 !important},and *{box-sizing:border-box;}, and ctrl+f5 or try on incognito. That's should be fix your problem

No, the plugin I eventually used was not modified.

I'd like to suggest that my URI Redirect Plus plugin be listed in the repo. I personally find it super useful, but I'm biased. LOL

I updated the plugin recently so that it works with PHP 8 (see note on plugin page above), and I'm using it with Get Simple 3.3.19 CE.

I will add it sometime this weekend. Thanks for the info.
