Which search engines are pinged by GS if the feature is enabled? The wiki doesn't say.
Edit: one can find the info in /admin/inc/template-functions.php at line 280ff. As yojoe replied, the pinged engines are google.com, search.yahooapis.com, bing.com and submissions.ask.com

None of search engines are pinged upon sitemap creation if you won't turn the option on in gsconfig.
Addons: blue business theme, Online Visitors, Notepad

I've once requested pings to additional search engines (e.g yandex and ... maybe was it even baidu ?) but can't find this thread.
