cant login as admin anymore
#1
after a 5-6 hours brake I decided to continue with my work on website in GS.
I tried to login as admin normaly but what was odd is that there is no error message, like the passord or login name is wrong, the site just flikrs once and then the fill-in fields is empty. I tried to get a new passord from Forgot your password? link but the passord that was sent to me did not work either.. the site just flikrs once and the fill-in fields is empty again.
what should I do ?

Did you convert from an older GS version, and if so, was your old user acct mixed case?

If so, see this:

I have this exact same issue. admin just goes back to the login fields. see screencast:
http://screencast.com/t/wCpiTEJl

it's the same for every user, not just admin. the site was working just fine.
I logged out today to show someone how to log in, and then this happened.

*UPDATE*

I fixed it.
I just changed the extension of the events plugin to "events.phx" to disable it and that fixed it.
the events plugin seems VERY buggy. see support thread:
http://get-simple.info/forum/topic/932/events-plugin/

I guess we'll have to find something else.
I kinda want to integrate google calendar anyway.

@pixeltarian,

this screencapture is a very good idea, thank you for using it!

one suggestion:
after getting the admin area to work again, check whether the plugin is still listed in the plugin area,
disable it and delete it

Cheers, Connie

Connie Wrote:best way to disable a plugin is to disable it in the plugin administration
and to delete it

to rename it will just generate confusion and later maybe, new questions will arise from that file-extension ;=)

but if I can't login, how can I get to the plugin administration? is deleting all the files for a plugin ok?

you just got me before I re-edited my posting, sorry ;=)

well I mean, to rename the plugin and then being able to log in, is really ok.

I corrected myself, edited my post because I meant that it is necessary to disable and delete the plugin AFTER you can log in again (this wasn't clear, sorry)

Actually I have this issue too. The system worked, but after hours, It did not work no matter what usernames and passwords have been tried.

Here are the details.

1. Visit and manage the website on the host machine, no problem exists. However, visiting from other machines does not give me good luck.

2. If rebooting the host machine, problems will be gone.

It is weird, but this is what I got so far.
