so i ask you:

in your opinion it is possible to use GetSimple for a blog (a "news website")?

...maybe similar to Wordpress...!

platinum,

sure it can be used as a blog if you install a fitting plugin. A very successful one is News Manager. The link points to an example page, you can find the plugin itself in Extend.

No, there is no core-solution in my opinion, as GS is intended as CMS and not as Blog, these are different concepts

For the visitor the only weak point is the dynamic navigation (as it needs to get information for all pages, if they are in the navigation, etc.), but if you use e.g. the I18N plugin, which caches the information in one file, you should be fine with a few hundred pages - of course this depends on the traffic your site generates.

On the backend the page administration will definitely get slower and the list will get longer, however, the I18N plugin allows you to open/close parent pages (e.g. to hide all blog entries under the main page blog), so at least the list of pages will not seem that bad.

Some days ago, i uploaded a new plugin that allows lists of pages by category, according to a field order, allows comments if you want,... all configurable from admin.

Plugin: http://get-simple.info/forum/topic/2545/...ts-plugin/

I do not know if you need it.

Regards.
