404 on javascript files
#1
Hello to everybody!
I'd like to underline a problem I have with a site.
The url is http://enil.ceris.cnr.it/Basili/EnIL/ and GET SIMPLE works good on it.

The problem is that no javascript files are reachable from any page of the site and of the administration panel.

As you can see, the css file is working (this is the url, if you want to check http://enil.ceris.cnr.it/Basili/EnIL/the.../stile.css but the javascript files are not loaded (try this http://enil.ceris.cnr.it/Basili/EnIL/the...1.5.min.js)

Do you imagine what can be the problem?
It is really frustrating, I can't have the WYSIWYG editor, and I can't apply any javascript to the page (not even edit the pages slugs, menu etc)...

Thank you very much for your help guys!

Marco,

you describe the problem incorrect: The js.-files are not found! This is something different than "not loaded"

for example:
Quote:/Basili/EnIL/theme/marcotls/js/jquery-1.5.min.js was not found on this server.
or
Quote:/Basili/EnIL/theme/marcotls/js/funzioni.js was not found on this server.

what is the result of the server-health-check? I am sure it is a misconfiguration

Hi Connie, yes, you are right, I'm sorry.

In fact, the files are on the server, while it seems that they are not.

I'm wondering why the css files are found, while the js are not? The path is correct, probably a problem of the server?

What can be the problem, according to your experience?

Thank you very much
Marco

The only warning I found is

cURL Module Not Installed - Warning

Could this be the problem?

no, that is not the problem
CURL is not used for Javascript

check if the Javascript-files are really uploaded!

And check if they are referenced with correct orthography

Similiar problem in here (http://agataslazyk.pl/ and http://agataslazyk.pl/piosenki/) except that I can't access (error 404) .js and .css files of Dominion MP3 Player Ultimate and theme .js file.
All worked perfectly before and suddenly have stopped.

Health check perfect, mentioned files are correctly uploaded and accessible by ftp, all paths are correct.
FireBug reports 404 error with these files showing the proper URL to them.

Plugins are (to list a few critical IMHO): i18N Base, i18N Navigation, i18N Search, News Manager.
It seems to be a problem with .htaccess file, but it's completely copied from News Manager proposition about fancy URLs.

Any suggestions?

EDIT: Permissions are all 755 for directories and 644 for files (except .ftpquota which has 600 permissions).
Site is located in subdir. There's another site in another subdir of this server and there this plugin works OK.
Deeper test shows that the problem exists with .js files in plugins directory only. Maybe only with mp3 player only. .htaccess file in plugins dir has have only one line: "Deny from all". Is it correct?

Nevermind. I've solved problem.
I've renamed .htaccess file in plugins folder and it works again.
I wonder how it is possible that a few days before all was OK.
