I’m game.

I wouldn’t try to built a team to create high quality themes just to do that. It would be a lot more interesting to come up with new designs and different menus etc.

Then get a team together to do so. Like i said, the team CAN use other designs.
But yes, better off, design our own.

Here is one of my old designs.

For example, if the "content" area had two sides to it. How would we do this. Say left side is content. Right side a component?

^ That is correct. Easiest way to add extra content to a page is through components.
Clients always want to be able to change the content of their pages, but they are unwilling to do so.

Have you ever coded in your underwear before?

Or you could use my solution here to provide extra tinyMce editable areas to your pages.

Thanks Mike. Just a quick question though, when you say to add it into tempalte functions. Do you mean make a functions.php then call functions.php at the top of your template.

Then call the function to get the text?

Hi,

Just create a functions.php in your template directory and copy the function to it.
No need to include it, It will be automatically included if it exists.

Hi,
I'm more a graphic designer than web designer or developer. But if I can be useful, I will participate.
Just contact me.

Okay, so i'm still tied down with alot of courseowork for school etc.
Not to mention the depressive state i have been in for a few weeks now after loosing my 2year girlfriend to some random gimp lmao that she met for 2 days.

Anyways, i will try and dedicate atleast 1 hour back into searching this forum, coding, / designing etc.
PRAG i am the same, i'm more into the designing interfaces rather than coding them up due to my mind just goes off on one when coding them up and DIV's give it a spaz of bordem and frustration.

Anyways, i will get something together quite soon. I'm currently going to try using NinkoBB for my site (Thankyou btw Niji for that release). I will open up a section for who wish to participate, some work you have done etc etc. I mean, obviously me being leader will have to do something, but if i atleast just get the team going at first i can get on with what i need to do aswell and then do something here and there when i got some spare time.

I'll keep you all informed either via this or PM.

The great thing with a team is that it doesn’t matter, I myself love the code editor a lot more. So just throwing up an image could trigger me into converting it to a full-scale layout ;-)

Right then, i have dug this up. We had a few people say they would participate but never got around to it.
I have finished with school, well i did a while ago and now i'm at college with even less time, but hay. Late nights always do the trick.

Who wants to still participate in a Themes Group / Team?

We preferably need a mixture of both Designers and Developers.

Say,
3 Designers.
3 Developers.

If you know both that is fine.

Post in here if you want to participate, and we shall think of a way to communicate with each other, the way i would think best is if we got 3 designers and 3 developers, we could pair up.
So 1 designer works with 1 developer. Designs, then send it across to be developed etc, kind'a like mini teams within the group.

I'll be the main man Wink
I can design and also develop (when i'm in the mind set to develop :p)
We still need 3designers and 3 developers though, excluding me.

We will be designing all kinds of themes, professional standard. Like these http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/60-high-qua...d-layouts/

This could be a huge step with get-simple!

Interesting,
I could provide the front-end & design, when my time allows.
I expect back-end support and some exclusivity from made templates.
Need dev's for GS anyway for my next (bigger) project.
