403 support.php after site creation
#1
Quote:GetSimple 3.1 - Viimeisin versio on asennettu
PHP Versio 5.2.6-1+lenny9 - OK
Folder Permissions OK - Kirjoitusoikeudet
cURL Module Asennettuna - OK
GD Library Asennettuna - OK
ZipArchive Asennettuna - OK
SimpleXML Module Asennettuna - OK
Apache Mod Rewrite Asennettuna - OK

Everything is ok, host is http://koti.mbnet.fi/
It creates the user and even emails me with the info, but then I get forbidden when it redirects to support.php.
Even if I give 777 permissions to every file and folder before starting the install, I get the same result.
Any tips?

So every page on your website is working except support.php?

Every Get Simple page is forbidden after this happens.

Try setting the permissions to 755 prior to install instead of 777.
Many hosts do not allow 777 permissions (for good reasons).

I tried with 755 before I did another install with 777. First time around I didn't manually set anything. Fails everytime.

Open gsconfig.php and turn on debug mode. Then go to your website and let us know what error messages occur.

Nothing, because everything is forbidden.

I would say contact your host and ask them whats going on.
Did GS3.0 work for you?

I've never tried 3.0. First set everything up in localhost.

Did you try installing without your language file? (that is, only with en_US)

Or removing the root .htaccess file?

Yes I tried without Fi-lang.. My root does not have any .htaccess file.
I think I won't get any help from the host, because it is a computer magazine's free web space. I'll probably try some free webhost next.
