Forum's Reputation System

Hello, a little suggestion from me.

I'd like to point out that we have a fully working rep system but it doesn't seem to get much use at all. In my opinion we should encourage people using it - if someone has worked on a say.. script, plug or theme they should get at least some recognition from the community, such as virtual rep. At first it isn't much but /if/ it gathers to hundreds then the user can feel appreciated.

The very same system has help strenghten many many forums in past. If you guys agree with me on this then you could perhaps make a sticky about it or send a mass mail or just encourage using it somehow.

I agree to a point. I orginally added the rep system so that new users to GS could see who was extremely helpful around the forums or not at a glance

There's also the option (not in this forum) to vote on specific posts, which might be a more direct approach.

Any chances that reputation system will be enabled for posts in mybb ? Rating a user isn't a must have.

ohh I was wondering if you just forgot about hat, or it was a well thought step.
When it goes about ratings I noticed that most of business websites allow only to +rate posts.

Eh, it's disabled. Other stupid things like the thread stars should be disabled too but it all takes time
