It soon became clear that I was never going to make the Create-a-thon deadline with a massively tweakable URL shortener. So I started on a light version yesterday. At 3 AM local time (2 hours before the actual deadline) I had to give up and get some sleep. But I finished it up right now and decided to give it to you all anyway.
I’ve just uploaded this light version to the Extend. Go download and tell me what you think!
It will shorten URLs with a simple counter and NewBase60. It will also count the number of times a certain short link is clicked. I’ve attached a screenshot.
(Yes, the code is a mess, remember I was on a deadline.)
I’ll keep working towards the bigger and better system, but I will supply bug fixes for this version in the meantime.
