Guys need some help

i need to add a landing page or splash page with an enter button to go into the main site, can someone help me out here, i dont have to change the index.php

Why don't you create a blank template file and assign it to index page ?

Just duplicate template.php in the base of your theme's folder and rename it splash.php. Strip it down to what you want on the splash page and set it as the index page's "Page Template" (under page options).
