Failed to create .htaccess in root!

hi there can someone please explain this error for me i have done all i can do and i am lost please HELP someone thanks in advance and happy new year.

Failed to create .htaccess in root! Please copy temp.htaccess to .htaccess and change **REPLACE** to /GetSimple_3.1.2/


I don,t understand what this means is this written correctly????

Go to the directory where you uploaded GS files, look for temp.htaccess file, and rename it to .htaccess

And then also change the file path in it.
