Slug tags

what does "slug" mean? I need some more informations about uses of tags whose contain the word "slug" !

Took me a while to understand this as well.

slug is the url part / id/name of the page

...id=slug
...site/slug

This is the equivalent of the filename in a static site.

I suppose Chris (creator of GS) chose the term 'slug' for the page identifier because Wordpress and other CMSs also do.
