Ticker Shows Old Events

We have a ticker running along the bottom of our website. The ticker is showing events from last year (and not all of them showing in chronological order).

Any ideas on how to get it to only show future events?

is this ticker a plugin, where is this ticker coming from ?

It's not a plugin (as far as I can tell). It's located in the theme folder as a subfolder.

Which theme ? It might be a part of that theme.

It's a theme that was created for us by the people who designed our site. That was done before I joined the company.
