Ftp 'File owner' problem ?
#1
Hello everyone !

I'm a new folk in town, and i just love GetSimple, it is so ... simple ^^
But i run into some problems of file owner, when it comes to files created by the CMS ( *.bak.xml for example )
I've seen on the forums that it's a known problem, but can't find a way to adress it ( deleting those files )

Any help ? some links describing the issue ?

Many thx

Issue is only GetSimple can delete files it created ( pages, articles backups and else ) ... i can't delete them by ftp, as the script is owner of the file, and i'm not !

As you seem to be hosted on an OVH dedicated server, it's up to you to change your FTP account settings (user and group). Is this your own server, or are you just using space on someone else's server?

Alternatively, if you log in to the OVH Manager, can the Virtual FTP client give you access to the files?

OT: you seem to have the domain registered at Gandi (expensive for domain names), but you could have 50% discount off the price of a Gandi Simple Hosting instance.
